Wormald recognised by Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital

By Andy Ellis, President Tyco Integrated Fire & Security

On Wednesday 25th February, Wormald was recognised at the 2015 Research Grant Award ceremony for its contribution to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital – Burns, Trauma and Critical Care Research Centre.

It has been one year since the passing of the hospital’s foundation chairman, The Hon. Warwick Parer, AM. In his honour, the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital introduced a new award, the ‘Warwick Parer Award for Outstanding Contribution to RBWH Medical Research’.

The hospital was proud to announce that Wormald, as one of its most loyal supporters, was selected as the inaugural recipient of this award. To date, Wormald has donated more than $400,000 over the last seven years to help facilitate the research and treatment of burns injury. We are proud to support the research centre’s mission; to further advance the treatment and level of care given to burns and critically ill patients through world-class research-based clinical practice.
